That’s a tough one for all the wrong reasons.
Who can you honestly say merits this award? Hugo maybe for his goals? Diame has been a good signing but does he deserve player of the season? N’Zogbia would get it for me, been our danger man all season but has he done enough?
Those are the only 3 players I would even consider as being our player of the season.
I think it would be much harder to pick the most dissapointing/worse player this season. I can think of 7 just off the top of my head.
Hopefully this time next year we’ll have 7 premiership players contending for our player of the season not 1 player who looks certain to get it and 2 others i’ve just plucked out from a poor bunch!
Roll on tomorrow night, the game we put all relegation worries to bed!
I think you’re right, you can’t look too far beyond N’Zogbia.
Personally, I think Boyce has done nowt wrong when he’s played but has probably been in and out of the team too much (why, I don’t know) to be a candidate.
Boyce was part of the back 4 when we played Spurs away and for me, he was one of the many problems that day.
Apart from that you’re right, he’s been pretty solid and we seem to look better defensively when he plays.
What worries me though is whether it’s in Mario’s contract that he has to play and/or has to be captain as long as he’s at the club. He never seems to get dropped unless injured and although he doesn’t seem to be a great leader has been the captain under both Bruce and Martinez.

without rodders goals we’d be fkd i think he needs to be in there instead of mccarthy, who id definetly vote for most improved + hes only played 1/2 a season
