Football fans from across the UK are being asked to send a scarf to show their support for Plymouth Argyle’s fans. The Pilgrims are the latest club to find themselves in dire financial straits having gone into administration on 4th March and Argyle Fans’ Trust hopes the appeal will highlight the increasingly desperate situation at Home Park. The scarves will be laid around the outside of the pitch before the club’s game against Rochdale on Saturday 19th March.

A scarf? Wouldn’t a quid have been a better idea?
14 March 2011 at 1:47 pm #61990A scarf? Wouldn’t a quid have been a better idea? Not if they are planning to sell them for £1.50
14 March 2011 at 3:21 pm #61995My heart goes out to the fans, however I bet they didnt complain when they built a multimillion pound stadium, new players and started to move up the league?
The problem was they based their entire business model on England winning the world cup bid for 2018, so they would get funding for the increase in stadium that they couldnt fill. What drugs were the board on when they sanctioned that?

That’s an awful lot of scarves they’d have to sell, just to pay back the tax man. -
