I’d have happily waited a week for Poyet.

Three weeks ago
Sod it sack Coyle and give it to Poyet he’s only on a rolling contract any way a least it would make the news
And do we know what Poyet was sacked for? No.
He is being portrayed as the innocent party everywhere, and certainly the way Brighton’s board have gone about this SEEMS strange – but again we only have Poyet’s word he knew nothing about this sacking until told on the BBC.
Maybe – just maybe – there is more to this than is being touted, and maybe we are better off without him.
Just a thought.
Does anyone know what went on at Brighton ? they asked him on the BBC but he said he couldn’t say, legal reasons.

Monday’s post-match press conference was not the first occasion on which Poyet had gone public on the fact that Brighton’s playing budget was in the bottom half of Championship payrolls. However, although the relative shortage of cash at Brighton was cited in reports of his interest in the Reading job following the dismissal of Brian McDermott in March, The Independent understands that Poyet has also been dissatisfied with other aspects of the belt-tightening at the club in preparation for Financial Fair Play rules that come into effect next season. He is believed to have told the players at a meeting on Tuesday that he could give no guarantees about his future and would not be compiling the retained list, which was released today.
In other words he was making public declarations of “business in confidence” details without his bosses’ approval, and wasn’t willing to live with financial restraints.

Coyle is here now and of what he can he has done a good job.
No doubt if we have no signings by the end of the week a few on here will be looking to set up the gallows.
The rumour I have heard is Poyet and the Brighton heirarchy have been falling out all season for a number of reasons and they have sacked him because he took some pictures off the wall from their promotion season that Poyet maintains is his property.
I give it a rumour rating of 2/10 but there it is.
