With Moyes now announced as Manager of Man Utd on stock exchange in US with official appointment tomorrow it’s interesting to see Bobby go to 1-2 on to be Evertons next boss. Surely he won’t relegate us and just walk away!

When choosing the next manager I would use the following criteria
– knows the club from top to bottom
– good tactical knowledge
– has to have a big ‘personality’ to get mercenaries to perform
– good scouting network and has recommended players to former managers
The one person who fits the bill? ……..
Dave Garswood aka Dave from Skem aka Applybridgelatic . Dave you could guide us into a new era goodpost
9 May 2013 at 12:03 am #112854He knows European football well. Has style, charisma and an eye for a signing. Why not?

So it Stuart Hall but I wouldn`t want him[/quote]That wouldn’t stop him :P
9 May 2013 at 3:01 am #112885There haven’t been that many sensible suggestions, but Gary Neville would be a good shout.
Graeme Jones would probably be Dave Whelans choice, but he will probably follow Roberto if he goes.
Anyway, we shouln’t be having this discussion at the moment as Roberto has three matches left at least.
One to lift the Cup and two others to secure PL survival.
Its not imposible. Believe.9 May 2013 at 3:09 am #112886our new manager will be

Alex Ferguson isn’t doing anything.I expect Jonesy to go with Martinez if he does
I’ve a gut feeling Jones will be the next manager, Bookies fav as well. Am I right in thinking he turned down the Swansea job to come here with Martinez or was he offered somewere else ?
I remember when Jewell kept us up on the last day at Sheff Utd . He promised us another season if we did go down , I wonder if Bobby might be thinking the same ?. With any other club/manager situation they would leave but I feel he has such a strong bond with the club Whelan and the fans he might feel that he might try for one year to fire us straight back up.
If he goes to Everton no doubt 2-3 players from Wigan will follow like McCarthy.9 May 2013 at 4:13 pm #112928I honestly don’t think Bob will be going anywhere.
If we go down I don’t think he’d want to leave us in a lower division than he found us in. He’d want to bring us straight back and then who knows.
If we stayed up then I’m sure he’d see the coming season as the final chance to change us from proverbial relegation fighters. Re-sign some of the out of contract players , a less injury prone season , the glory of Europe ( although that will probably be a hindrance )and his reputation will grow even further , and he may get the big call he’s really waiting for – from his homeland.
So our next (season) manager for me will be Roberto Martinez.
9 May 2013 at 4:57 pm #112936He certainly didn’t say he was going to Everton when I spoke with him yesterday.
CLANG!!!
