We currently have the best squad by far in league one, so can understand bookies making us second favs. I think they have got it wrong putting Blackburn favs, yes they’ve signed Dack but they have also lost key players already. The bookies set odds on current situations and as it stands with the likes of Burn, Powell, Gilby, Grigg and Jacobs in our ranks we should be clear favs.

Maybe they’ve just looked at fact they were a place higher than us last season? I thought they’d strengthened better than us, from what I’d heard, but maybe not. I think we will both be up there this season along with Bradford and Oxford.
We havnt strengthened at all though VAT.and with more to go before deadline day we will have considerably weakened.

A little ray of optimism perhaps?
I’m a miserable bugger through most of my daily dealings, but I can’t imagine your life living such doom and gloom all day, every day.I am optimistic but we havnt seen much to make us brim with enthusiasm yet Garswood.To be fair that is true, but there is nothing to say that the new signings and loans are not going to be good.
Blackburn like us are also in danger of losing some of their best players to higher league clubs. Personally I don’t think a book should be open until the window shuts.
I know we have to live with it for some reason but I don’t think the transfer window is of any use at all. It should and needs to be scrapped.
On these totally unexciting new signings we’ve borrowed though. If we have to borrow players unwanted by parent clubs why don’t we at least borrow them a little earlier so they can participate in club organised piss ups and the less important pre season friendlies.I am optimistic but we havnt seen much to make us brim with enthusiasm yet Garswood.I know things might change yet but so far so good for me. Cooky is sorting out those who want to stay and fight from those who think they are world beaters cos they’ve done a season in the second flight. If we can get to the end of the transfer window without losing more than one or two of our better players we will be good to push for at least a top 6 finish.

What a journey!That is exactly where my optimism lies. Cooky has started with a squad good enough to finish top six but the feeling with many of us is he won’t get to use that squad (which is diminishing) due to reasons out of his hands.
