Anybody professing to support the rugby, isn’t a genuine Latics fan. I’m sorry, but it’s not possible.
They hate us, and we hate them.
If we ever do go bust and close down, there will be parties in the streets of Scholes and Whelley…make no mistake about that.
And if the stewards are so desperate to go to Wembley, don’t move our game, just get new stewards. Tough titty.

You’re right. I’ve played it for the past 24 years I’m not a fan really. I hate Shatics. The Scholes parties are class when they go down. Better than the ones they throw when the real pride of the town loses.
The game will change time because the owner and chairman are rugby fans as 1.19.50 here https://youtu.be/1TNu59yRI3A shows. Why celebrate at the final if he hates us?
Personally I hope the game gets shifted so I can attend the Latics game and watch the rugby on TV, hopefully with my daughter who is due that week.

That, of course, Dave, is absolute nonsense.
I personally don’t like Warriors for personal reasons, and find rugby league these days boring.
But to say that people can’t support teams in completely different games is ludicrous. Once you actually get your head above what their fans say or ours say (considering that I dismiss a fair bit of rubbish from ours anyway), then of course people can support both.
I fully accept that others (JR for one I know) don’t like (to put it mildly) the rugby – that’s their view on the matter which I respect on a personal level – but to say “Anybody professing to support the rugby, isn’t a genuine Latics fan” is absolute tosh.
I know loads of people who do both.
