Thanks go out to QPR for taking Blackpool’s position as the team with worse crowds than ours (though I bet the media will conveniently ignore it). I’m sure the ridiculous ticket prices and lousy Bolton following were a factor, but what struck me was, like at Wigan, there’s been an outbreak of overzealous netting which will prevent them from selling out even the bigger games. About ten rows of seats behind the School End Lower were needlessly sectioned off. Anyone know why?

Can’t see QPR netting off all those seats by choice as the ground only has a small capacity anyway.

Anyone know why?Yes, as I was looking at the banks of empty seats at Loftus Road (15,000 in an 18,000 ground), it struck me that it hadn’t been mentioned. I’m sure we all remember losing a minute of our highlights a couple of seasons ago on Match of the Day when our crowd of 16,000, with virtually no Fulham fans, was covered ad nauseum. When I complained about this to MOTD I recieved an email from the producer telling me it was “newsworthy” because it was likely to be the smallest Premier League crowd of the season.
And yet 15,000 going to QPRs first game in the Prem for about 10 years isn’t apparently “newsworthy”. Surely no London media bias at work there?

it was netted off because the bolton fans were in the top tier and qpr fans in the bottom tier, to stop bolton fans throwing things down on the qpr fans.
