After another well deserved win and pretty decent performance tonight at New Springfield.
Enjoyable game and evening.25 October 2017 at 12:01 pm #162835The whole squad seem to be singing the same tune. Its pleasing we can make so many changes and still win games. Cookie and his crew are on a similar purple patch that Jewell and Hutchings went on the time we stormed this division. C, Mon Latics.
25 October 2017 at 12:19 pm #162836Just a pity so many couldn’t be arsed going, those that didn’t bother will be at the front of the queue at the ticket office if we get to the final!
Fuck the EFL

25 October 2017 at 12:47 pm #162838I reckon there will be a few more on against Accy that didn’t go last night, myself included. Last night I was absent in protest at the debasing of a competition that was intended to give lower league clubs a chance of a Wembley final. It wasn’t intended to help the already spoiled Prem and ex prem clubs. Some may see that protest as a pointless gesture, but I don’t.
It’s called sticking to your principles. Bullitt I seem to remember you crowing about twenty’s plenty and saying you wouldn’t pay more than £20 to go to a game. But you did. Or if you didn’t you’ve lied about something.
Maybe it’s the fact that people have the courage of their own convictions enough to be able to stand by a point of principle that makes you criticise their non-attendance last night. I suspect it’s a concept you haven’t been able to grasp.
And just for your information Bullitt. Yes if we get to Wembley there’s every chance I’ll be getting a ticket as I went to Blackpool and will be going to Accy. But if per chance we end up playing at Wembley against an under 23 team I won’t be getting a ticket.

The lads that played last night deserved better support than they got, someone on another forum got it spot on, get behind your club and beat these reserve teams to knock them out the competition, maybe they’ll think twice before entering again next season.
Fuck the EFL
25 October 2017 at 2:15 pm #162840The more thrashings these Billy big bollox academy sides get, the more demoralised they will get and less likely to enter.
Well done to our youngsters last night and well done to Paul Cook who is putting this structure of consistency right through the squads.25 October 2017 at 4:05 pm #162841Please yourself i couldnt give a shitThe lads that played last night deserved better support than they got, someone on another forum got it spot on, get behind your club and beat these reserve teams to knock them out the competition, maybe they’ll think twice before entering again next season.
Using the same logic, didn’t the players deserve your support at all the grounds charging over £20? After all the prices set aren’t their decision, just like allowing under 23’s teams in this competition isn’t.

Two completely different scenarios, not the same logic at all!
Fuck the EFL
25 October 2017 at 4:52 pm #162843Of course it is. You chose to miss matches on a point of principle that you believed in, just like me and a few others chose to miss last nights match on a point of principle we believe in.
25 October 2017 at 9:35 pm #162845It’s just a case of Latics at home, I can go, so I go. No matter how angry I am about the FL allowing these sides in its still my club at home so I go cos I can do and the same next week and the same for Crawley. Saturday I won’t be as I have something else on but the other 7000 who couldn’t be arsed last night for one reason and another will be but many of those will duck the Crawley and Stanley game. I can’t understand why thousands just tail off when we aren’t playing league football. Last night was great and the atmosphere wasn’t much different than normal either.

If it was free for ST holders against Boro there would have been significantly more in attendance
The boycotting of reserve teams in the competition is an excuse!Fuck the EFL

Might be able to work from home the odd day in the future, so I’m working on it ;)
26 October 2017 at 2:47 am #162848Well that’s fair enough Leyland, nothing at all wrong with not being able to make it.
