Caldwell was a panic appointment made during the season, whereas Cook was appointed at the end of the season after a long recruitment process. No panic in appointing him.
If Latics return to the Championship next season, I’m sure that they will be more than capable of finishing above three teams and take it from there.

Another comfortable 3pts in the pot just concerned with our forward shortage now Grigg out.Just remind me why we signed Hunt??….Need to capitalise on our possession as I fear Rovers/Shrewsbury/Bradford may be a much sterner test than recent opposition won’t be able to squander chances.

Needless to say, they are not happy. So I think we know what to expect next Saturday. Agree we need to turn possession into goals as quickly as possible in a game.
