How as a topic from 1 year 5 month ago that was started by myse……….er ……..someone!!!! winged it’s way back to the top???
i wonder how many column inches the heavyweight (literally) clash between bradfordian bollock busters v wiganish (via chorley n preston) wandering willaboobies will attract!!!!!
surely being a rugger bugger town, it will be plastered on lamposts everywhere and the pubs will be full of people talking about it or watching it on a foreign satellite, instead of splitting the screens to watch the other FA Cup semi and stoke v man utd
look forward to being in the pub sunday to have a chat with ALL the rugger fans.

And to the others that doubt me, photos of the FREE tickets will be uploaded on Monday. Its a bit hard to post photos when I only pick them up from the West Stand tomorrow!

Now, for those doubters, here’s my FREE ticket:

15 April 2013 at 4:56 am #109365I believe some of the armed forces were allowed in on complementry tickets
15 April 2013 at 1:37 pm #109375I believe some of the armed forces were allowed in on complementry ticketsArmed forces or not armed forces, why accept them for a Wigan Athletic game when you’re a Wigan RL / Sunderland fan?
15 April 2013 at 2:04 pm #109381The only way to get ‘complimentary’ tickets for that Semi Final:
1) Each Club received 50 for players family/friends
2) A competition win/gift from the sponsors/FA
3) Directors of each Club and some staff
4) Tickets given for the Armed ForcesOne place you could not get complimentary tickets, was from Wigan Athletic Football Club as a handout – they didn’t exist.
I would also like to add that Latics didn’t sell any ticket for block 122, they were in the FA Control and so I would say you came under point 2 or at a push 4.
Either way I hope you enjoyed the game as I think our town’s professional football team did us proud on Saturday.
Lets hope you are there to maybe see us lift the trophy!!!!
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

You are correct Mr Taylor – I do come under one of those categories, and I sincerely hope you win the trophy, although I doubt I will be there, as the number of freebies will be drastically reduced and I wouldnt wish to deny a true supporter the chance to see their team at Wembley. I dare say that some of those “die-hards” who couldnt make a 5.15 kick-off on a Saturday will suddenly find the ability (and the money) to make one next month at double the price!
That block did have many Wigan fans in it although its possible that they moved seats once in the stadium. I was sat next to a Chinese student who asked me which teams were in which colours – he bought his complimentary ticket for £20.
And to SW, the Otter and the others who called “Bullshitter”, I await your apology, although I wont hold my breath, as admitting you were wrong seems to be an alien concept, and I’ve better things to do than die of respiratory problems.
15 April 2013 at 5:44 pm #109435I thought it was well-established that LOTP/mutty or whoever is a member of the armed forces.
I’m sure in the past we’ve even seen a photo.

As I said in an earlier post, well done you.
If it was trying and prove a point, then, you did it. Your little riddle outfoxed us as there we all were thinking Wigan Athletic had given you some free tickets (like they do for every home game eh?) when it was actually something Wembley had agreed with the MOD.
But to go to the lengths of actually accepting tickets to watch a football club you dislike, photographing those tickets, and then posting that photo on the forum of that team you dislike: no apology forthcoming – just the advice to go and sit down, look in a mirror and ask yourself ‘Is this normal behaviour for a 40+ year old man?’
15 April 2013 at 8:11 pm #109473You won’t get an apology from me. I know from history that you’re in the armed forces as I’ve commented on how somebody so petty and obsessive could be defending the country.
And I also know from history your obsession with the number of free tickets we supposedly give away. The numbers you invent vary from week to week. As such I know that the inference was that the club were giving away these tickets.
15 April 2013 at 8:48 pm #109479But to go to the lengths of actually accepting tickets to watch a football club you dislikeWhen did I say I dislike Wigan Athletic? I dislike the obsession that some on here have with Wigan Warriors, thats all.
Just because I dont avidly follow them, doesnt make me a disliker. I’m the same as those 6,000 extra “followers” who went down to wembley on Sat who are rarely, if ever, seen at the DW for a league game. I never said that I had received freebies from WAFC – that was just your interpretation.
On my invitation for up to 4 free tickets, I was asked whether I wanted tickets in the Millwall or Wigan end.

Ah, but it’s not the same as those 6,000 is it? Because I doubt if those 6,000 regularly post their attempts at ridicule (usually regarding crowd sizes)on this forum. You know full well why you came onto the forum to announce you had received free tickets, and as for not disliking the club, your sarcasm and snide comments of the past are hardly befitting of a supporter.
