We lost a great tics Mon today in Owen Hughes. Followed them from none league days. A lovely man who lost his son Yasser not too long ago followed not long after by his partner.
The win tonight was for you buddy, good night and god bless.

Part of the Wigan music scene for over 50 years. A top bloke and diehard Latics mon. Our West Stand gathering is now one person less and will never feel the same again.
It was a pleasure to have known you and call you my friend.

Gees, I’m shocked. I’d not spoken to Owen for about a year as I stopped going in the supporters bar.
I worked with/for Owen and his first wife in the early to mid 80’s when he was at his busiest from the office down the side of the Berkeley Square. Top chap always had time for you and a smile to boot.
Can someone please keep me updated with funeral arrangements
