From The Mirror today (so it must be true):
Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega is set to snub a move to the Premier League’s elite as he feels he has a better chance of playing by joining a team outside the top four.
We’re outside the top four, so no need to move then. Cool! Next!

Not so cool if you are banking on him being our main strike threat next season, whichever league we are in!
21 April 2010 at 12:23 pm #30241our loss, their gain maybe?
I know he is the best we have but he is hardly the player that defenders fear is he? the latics fans are more likely to think “oh no” when he gets the ball than the opposition.

Nzogbia is better than him !

Or the translated version
Rodallega: ‘I want more money, and don’t give a monkey’s who’s paying me’

Have to disagree. I think Rodellega edges it for being a better all round player but can be lazy. Got two feet and can head it, just criminally out of position most of the time.
N’Zogbia’s had some great games this season but is hot and cold and doesn’t scare top defenders quite the same as lesser ones. Except for the 90th minute last Sunday, of course.
21 April 2010 at 12:50 pm #30247I disagree about Rodallega being a better all round player than N’Zogbia. Rodallega has a lot of good qualities, but bottles out of challenges.
21 April 2010 at 6:00 pm #30277I’m sure the way he was *burned off by Sol Campbell on Sunday will have been noted by ” potential buyer ” Wenger.
* That expression has no sexual conortation whatsoever

I read an article about the top scorers at each club and where each club would be without them. Wigan were 2nd bottom without Roda.
I’m not saying we couldn’t cope without him but we haven’t got a better option. I hope he stays.

Me to, as we will find it hard to replace him as imo Scotland and Moreno wont do.

il be gutted to see rodallega go but i dont think he’s been playing his best recentlyScotland looks like a decent player, but his nerves seem to get the better of him at this level and he’s not getting any younger. I don’t hold much hope of him turning it around.
Roda isn’t playing his best football at the moment, I think its partly because of his frequent switches from the left to the centre. If we can solve the left wing problem and get Roda through the middle every game we will start to see more goals.
23 April 2010 at 4:04 pm #30481yeah, rodallega isnt a winger and i think he’s lost his convidence on the wing, i think he should be upfront with moses tbh
