does anybody else think he should be in the team?
we give Beausejour the freedom to go forward with a defensive full back behind him and he looks 2 stone overweight, has’nt got the pace or skill to beat a man and can’t cross a ball, most crosses go out for a goal kick.
If we gave Stam the same sort of cover with Boyce because lets face it he can’t work the line now he seems to have lost his pace and was never the best going forward. Stam would get a lot more qaulity balls in the box and looks a damb site more mobile and threatening than Beausejor.
6 March 2012 at 1:43 pm #82633I think should be starting but not in place of Beausejour, but instead of Boyce. I like Boyce, but of we’re playing with a right wing back, Stam is much more suited.
Must admit that’s one of the biggest things I don’t get about Bobby’s recent selections

In my opinion, some of his crossing has been superb, and in general, I think he’s been one of the better players over recent weeks.

Agreed I think he should be at right wing back instead of Boyce. I would however put Boyce in the back 3 in place of either Alcaraz or Figueroa.
I would also drop Gomez & put McCarthy in that free attacking midfield role which i think he is much more suited to & then I’d put Diame into the more conventional midfield role vacated by McCarthy.
Finally Rodallega in place of Di SantoPiece of pish this management lark

That was pretty much the view of the V100s pre-match on Saturday. Yes, shock horror! – advocating dropping Gomez!!!
And as poor as Rodallega has been at scoring and playing the lone striker role, the view was that he carries more of a goal threat than Di Santo.

I’d say you carry more of a goal threat than Di Flecto.

Agreed7 March 2012 at 8:37 pm #82704At Old Trafford Stam whippped in delightful balls only not much point when as per usual we have no one busting a gut to get on end of them.

I seen to remember Sammon jumping under one, still not sure how he managed it.
But with qaulity he gives he surely got to be in the team.
