Some people on here….
I think Roony was right to say what he did. Why would people pay £1000’s to go to South Africa to boo their players?
OK, England wasn’t that good, but we didn’t get beat and still can qualify.
Don’t you think Rooney himself knew that they didn’t play well.
FFS, it like me going to your work and when you fook up, me booing at you….
I bet these people on this board are the very people who boo or players…..get a grip!

in the 38yrsi have followed the latics i have never booed anybody who has worn the blue of wigan athletic, stop talking out of your arse people have paid 1000s of pounds to go out there and are intitled to vent there anger, and approx 20,000 england fans booing and then, the txt and e-mail granada where getting after his comments suggest he as angerd even more pepole
19 June 2010 at 2:04 am #37914People who have paid £1,000’s should expect England to have one or two bad games – I wasn’t aware of a ticket that had a guarantee that England would play excellent every game.
People are allowed to vent their anger…I am sure the players would vent their anger.
Also, it’s irrelevant how much footballers get paid – it’s what they deliver. They delivered nothing tonight and I am angry…but booing your players…

I am same as ace as I have never booed the latics and I have never been one of the I was so angry I turned of my computer brigade (copyright Jimmy mh) this tonight though was total rubbish. I want England to do well that it hurts. I think the 5 million pound a year man is not prepared to change from 442 as sir bobby did god rest his soul.when England changed to the sweeper system for the 3rd game in 1990.we have to win on Wednesday so anything less is just not acceptable.
edit.. I don’t expect England to play the sweeper system but he needs to change from 442 as its not working?
19 June 2010 at 5:41 am #37929England didn’t just play poorly there was a distinct lack of effort.
That for me is when a player crosses the line from deserving support to disrepecting the club or country they are playing for.
19 June 2010 at 5:53 am #37931If a German player acted like Wayne Rooney did tonight he would be dropped for sure for the next game ! One word DIGNITY ! Bobby Moore will be turning in his grave at such petulance ! Now lets see who has got the balls for the final group match !

Mr Cornflake your right, the people who are always down & make CL negative are the one’s who boo.
Booing your team at a home game at half time is actually working though ………
Hull City – FA Cup – won 4-1
Burnley – won 1-0
Arsenal – won 3-219 June 2010 at 12:46 pm #37941Do you think they would play better if we payed them more money?
Just a thought!

They’ve distanced themselves from the fans so much, I can see why they’re getting boos for bad performances. I don’t agree with it, but I think that if the players we have now behaved more like the players in the past (i.e. having a real connection with the fans) it wouldn’t happen.
Sadly we’ll never go back to that because of one thing: the media.
19 June 2010 at 2:15 pm #37950Makes a change, the players booing the fans!
19 June 2010 at 2:27 pm #37951I didn’t watch much of the game analysis, but by the sound of it, Rooney wasn’t too happy with the fans.
Rooney will play as lone striker against Slovenia, with Gerrard just behind, I hope
19 June 2010 at 3:06 pm #37956One fan managed to get into the England dressing room after the match to confront the underachieving joy boys ! Would have made a change for someone to be shouting at them and in English as well :)
19 June 2010 at 7:19 pm #37967I said Rooney was over-rated and that he wouldn’t perform in the WC…I was right.
