Well I’ll be renewing, whoever is in charge & whichever division we are in next season. I’m a supporter you see. Someone who supports their club through good times & bad :)

The can get 7-1 still on us being relegated. With some of the comments on here remortgage and pile in. It’s like buying money.
Do you really have a reasoned opinion on the sorry state of our club ?.Instead of your mundane “21st place is what we set out to achieve “shit. You really want Cook to remain if we achieve that ? This whole affair smacks of a manager totally out of his comfort zone.His shocking transfers particularly Olsen,Clarke as well as the Cole ,Walker,Macmanaman farce. Some of the worst football I’ve set my eyes on at this club in years. A Team completely bereft of any cohesion and players with zero confidence. An away record I’m sure we’ll never match again ..ever …and still your willing to support a manager who if still in place after Saturday could send our club down and possibly into long term financial melt down. We are in the shit no doubt but unlike wiganers my first instinct isnt to boo and call for the managers head. Especially when it has got us next to nowhere in the past aside from rosler who we sacked when we got the chance.So far, nobody calling for his head has managed to name a sucessor that would realistically a- come and b- be affordable. The “anyone will do” line dont wash especially when the last 2 times we have done it have been mackay and joyce.
We cant just sack him, we have to sack him AND appoint the right man or we set ourselves back even further.
The club needs consistency on and off the field. Ideally we stay in this division but we should keep him one way or the other in my opinion because constantly changing the manager and squad every 18 months will get us nowhere.

We can’t keep sacking managers and replacing squads. Cook needs to see it out. If we go down then clearly we weren’t good enough for this level which in all honesty we probably aren’t. We are a top end League 1, bottom end Championship side. Similar to Newcastle. Their fans think they should be winning things as well when realistically they are a relegation candidate every season in the Prem.
We need to see where the season takes us and then build from there. If that means spending big bucks in League 1 terms to build a squad to not only take us up but to keep us up then so be it (ala Paul Jewell) otherwise we accept that financially League 1 is our level unless IEC decide to splash money about ala Dave Whelan. We have far too many players not good enough for this level, yes most are Cooks signings but if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
