Although he’s getting on abit, I would be very pleased if we got this guy, especially for free. He has a certain finesse about him that would grace the “Gomez” role just behind the striker.
What do we think?

34  Dont think DW would be impressed
6 May 2010 at 12:35 am #32057Free transfer? I think he will.

Plays deeper though, doesn’t he? I’d imagine him sitting alongside Diamé in the middle and dinking balls about in a Xabi Alonso-esque way.
He is, however, likely to demand big wages and is getting on a bit.
6 May 2010 at 12:43 am #32062Yeah you’re probably right there, I have to say my knowledge of him isn’t great, but how many times in the past have we been linked with Valencia players? Please no replies with reference to Antonio.
6 May 2010 at 2:08 am #32083I’m reasonably happy that the midfield isn’t too far off, I hope we’re soon linked with a proven striker and sign him.
6 May 2010 at 3:05 pm #32126I saw a bit of the Hamilton/St Mirren game last night on ESPN, and the commentators were talking as though James McArthur to Wigan is a done deal.
The commentators spoke very highly of him , but from the bits I saw he looks like one for the future rather than someone after a starting position.
We’re also looking at their right back James McCarthury. :?
I made that last bit up.
