Today the man had me on a knife’s edge! Some poor distribution and over-confident on the ball. And we are the only side in England to play every set piece backwards!
Other than that, bloody cracking result. Made up. McCarthy was class, Maloney was class. Gomez tracking back was nice to see. Class performance and made me a very happy man!
14 April 2013 at 2:45 pm #109159But he got two vital clearances in during their 15 min good spell !

I’m not sure if that makes up for his constant giving the ball away. And that slip that almost put them through, got lucky to get a free kick when there was absolutely no contact.

I think Scharner looks a bit erratic because Alcaraz is so composed.

Looking at the body language it looks like Scharner & Boyce don’t like each other? just before half time Boyce gave him both barrels…and as for the slip, lucky to get a free kick for that! no wonder he clod his boots away! :)
15 April 2013 at 1:24 am #109339I see it differently. I see it as two players committed to Wigan.
Scharner has shown a lot of passion for the club since he came back and his joy was there to see at the end.
We have certainly looked a lot more composed at the back since he re-joined us.
Why some people are asking for 100% perfection and always moaning is beyond me.
We have just got to the FA cup final for gods sake.

15 April 2013 at 1:25 am #109340Unlike Boyce to have a go at one of his team mates.
15 April 2013 at 1:29 am #109343This is the same bloke who came out with such pearls as, “Fulham, Everton, Aston Villa and Sunderland are interested in signing me, which would even guarantee me a spot in Europe. So there is no reason to stay here.” and “‘I had a good time at Wigan but I had to look forward and West Brom is a decent club.”
Short memories.15 April 2013 at 1:53 am #109345Water under the bridge.
I think he has played well since he came back.
I dont give a monkeys about what he may or may not have said 2 years ago,or whatever it was.
Given Ramis` injury, i think its a good job that we got him. Caldwell seems to have gone backwards again.
