I wouldn’t put it past him and I’m sure he would be welcomed aboard. Maybe Arky should him an invite.
It really makes me quite emotional to think the Whelan family will no longer have anything to do with us.
That is a great letter and I bet it took a few drafts to get it right, how Big Dave and especially Sharpey must be feeling right now, we’ll never know.

We’ve had some brilliant times over the last 23 years, lets just hope the next 23 bring some more.

BTW – Whelans, thanks for my short but fantastic journey. I’ve had great times, got stacksa wonderful memories in my bag, met a load of lovely people and had some wonderful laughs. What more could I ask for??

The end of a wonderful and fantastic era.All good things must come to an end, but its now onto another fantastic era for the club (fingers & toes crossed).
And hopefully back to the premier league to take the pifff again!

Whether they state such ambitious plans as DW did when he first took over I’m not sure, but hopefully so.Greed League or not, there’s far worse things than being a yo-yo club between League One and the Championship and a few cup runs chucked in.
Can we not get Whelan back on the pitch to remind those Leeds fans once again that they’ve won fook all for donkeys years. It’s got to be one of the best on pitch speeches I’ve ever heard…

A local businessman who has guided this fine ship through rough waters for so many years being replaced by some dodgy gets from Hong Kong who have no affiliation with the club. Seems an odd piece of business from their perspective. Doesnt make sense as to why we would be such an attractive acquisition. Our gates mean at this level we will always struggle without serious investment and with our most valuable asset set to leave in a few months the whole scenario appears bizarre.

Buying an established Premier League team would be expensive, but we are comparatively cheap (if you look at the purchase documents you will see that there was even a knock-down in the value of the assets because of the relegation to League One and consequent loss of TV money). So we are cheap, but we have a pedigree of being in the Premier League and the FA Cup win raised our profile. With a fair wind it’s not impossible for us get back in the PL in the foreseeable future, and that would really boost the asset value.
It’s a no-brainer actually. We are a far better prospect than Rotherham or Brentford.22 million for the lot is an absolute bargain. The land and real estate alone is worth that. Not to mention a paying tenant and the value of players.
One step from the Greed League with a stadium ready and all the infrastructure. A no brainer really if they are looking ahead to a massive income from the aforementioned league.
