Ye, we should move to a smaller stadium until about 2014 – when there will be much more interest in Wigan from people in Lancashire.
I’m all for keeping the Reserves playing at Robin Park though.
Why on earth would you want to move to a smaller stadium? When I first saw the topic heading I thought it was a chubster interloper who had forgotten which site he was on.
It wont happen anyway. DW wont finance building another stadium. He won’t even finance another or bigger bridge across the canal. The Council won’t give planning permission for another stadium.
Even if it did happen any new stadium would have to be built further out of town. Do you really want to have to travel further to games?

As far as travelling is concerned it wouldn’t bother me but there would only be a point in moving if we were more likely to bring the crowds in.
Yes! We should bulldoze it, sell the land to Tesco and find a rugby club to go halves with on a new one.
Ive said it for some time now I believe we should give the East stand back to away fans even if its only for the big clubs. If Utd, Liverpool, Everton etc want to bring 7000+ then let them its money in the clubs pockets. We could stay in the East for the rest it wouldn’t be hard to implement Wolves had a similar system in place.
Let Eggmen take over running the Stadium!
On provision we get a 50yr lease on the same rent that they pay,we’ll be the lodgers. :mrgreen:
