so we lost 4-0 to Blackpool
We think we are too high and mighty to lose to a newly promoted club – remember when we came up and people thought we were fodder and then we beat westbrom, villa and everton away and spent a few weeks in second place
If martinez goes then so be it but nobody can criticise Whelan and the exciting journey he has taken us on since buying(or should I say bailing us out from going in to administration/non league) 12 years ago
I have been watching our club since it came into the league and virtually every season has been played right up to the last game – we have only had one relegation in all that time but have been involved in some great end of season excitement
Being a Wigan fan has never been boring – I keep coming because you never know what is around the corner with our great little club
Coming from behind to beat Arsenal to losing to Blackpool – great fun and long may it continue
I raise a glass to Wigan athletic – king of the underdogs!!!!

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!17 August 2010 at 12:21 am #42952I love it!
I wouldn’t be shocked if we beat Chelsea 4-3 on saturday with an injury time winner and i woke up in A & E on tuesday after suffering a heart attack.
After all, it’s only a game.

I admire your attitude but to rain on your parade for a minute, can you not see that the club is suffering in the top flight and there are some serious underlying problems ? I have forked out the best part of £300 for this season thinking that Mr Martinez was going to work his magic after a very lac lustre season on the whole last year, but the early signs are not encouraging ! Obviously you can smile in the face of adversity and believe you me I can easily put football into perspective with lifes real set backs but when I part with my hard earned cash on a product which is supposed to be half decent and better than the last one I bought then I expect just that !
