Strikers

This striker problem we have, has been around for quite a while now and with the defence being so shaky and the midfielders not backing up the lone striker that well(apart from Callums goals this season) it has now become serious.
We do not seem to hear much from Dave Whlean these days to motivate the troops. He got the Latics into the Premier League with his backing and last season almost did it again along with a magnificent cup run. Cant half think that if a quality striker had been signed for last season we would now be in the relegation dogfight in the Premier League rather than in the Championship.
Saying that Malky could have saved Dave a fortune with unearthing the striker potential of McClean so now it is onwards and upwards to midfield safety and promotion next season.
