Thanks Jordi … shame not to see more of you on the pitch, but there isn’t enough room for every one, otherwise I’d want a game. Blinkin’ stunning addition of a goal to the Chesterfield game … thanks for that, and I also liked you ‘cos you ran for everything, what game was it that you ram like a whippet to the corner for a loose ball, crossed it and, was it jacobs, prodded it in…… we like effort, keenness and desire. Thanks Jordi, hope it goes well for you.
Are we keeping Fransico Junior ….. Hope so.
2 February 2016 at 1:10 am #146969Is it just me that thought he was dogshit?
2 February 2016 at 1:22 am #146970Enjoyed me celebration with him and his sister at Fleetwood but when I kept seeing his name in the team I thought oh shit.
2 February 2016 at 1:07 pm #146977Is it just me that thought he was dogshit?Nope. I’m with you on that.
2 February 2016 at 6:02 pm #146981Jordi Gomez? Dogshit? Really? Forward to 1.26 to see a real dogshit goal.
2 February 2016 at 6:43 pm #146983You do know we’re talking about Jordy Hiwula, don’t you?
2 February 2016 at 6:58 pm #146984You do know we’re talking about Jordy Hiwula, don’t you?No, obviously not! If the OP had keyed ‘Jordy’ instead of ‘Jordi’ and not had a nightmare with his Caps Lock then I might’ve even read what he posted rather than just assume it was demi-God and legend Jordi Gomez he was having a pop at
Anyway, I’ll use any excuse to watch one of my favourite Latics goals ;)

I’ve just watched it twice and I still have to pinch myself that it was us. I still think that the FA Cup run was all a dream and I’m waiting for someone to wake me up.
God, I love Wigan Athletic FC.2 February 2016 at 11:07 pm #146987I reckon he will go down as a bit of a cult figure because of his late goal at Chesterfield which was a major turning point this season.
He also played a significant role in the late victory over gillingham recently so all in all he had a hand in winning anextra few points for us.
He was a bit lightweight and has a good deal to learn but the negative comment above is very unfair really given his age and experience. He always seemed to give his all and I think he will be remembered for quite a while by the supporters.
Hope he does well in the future.2 February 2016 at 11:39 pm #146988I reckon he will go down as a bit of a cult figure because of his late goal at Chesterfield which was a major turning point this season.

Hope he does well in the future.I agree with you there Vince, and, at least he did want to play for us unlike the prima donna who went the other way as part of the deal.
Its a pity QPR didn’t come in for Hues as was muted on the internet.
I wonder what will happen if we go up, will Hues want to come back to us?3 February 2016 at 2:24 am #146989If I’ve got people a bit confused, then I’m happy about that – if for no other reason than to see those 3 goals again.
But it’s nice to have 2 for the price of 1 appreciation (mostly).

4 February 2016 at 12:47 pm #147002Meanwhile – back at the other Jordi (not Jordy)I had a look at his Wikipedia page on deadline day and it said that he had rejoined Wigan Athletic on loan from Sunderland. Barely had my fist come back down after punching the air, the refreshed page said he’d joined Huesca. About an hour later it was Barcelona and then some time after that Blackburn. Could’ve been the man himself having a laugh with that :)

You must be the only person in the World who gets news about transfers from Wikipedia!

For the record, there are few duller subjects out there than football players transfer news and gossip and it’s something I take no interest in whatsoever. Life is far too short to be interested in football transfers.
