The point of the matter was not to start a slanging match and debate, but to highlight the fact that the Mudhuts gang who keep having digs at CL for people lurking over there (on Mudhuts), when they are just as bad over here. They seem to think that people on here are not worthy of an opinion. That was all my point.And they have proved me right by their response. Migs turns it into an all personal thing. No, that’s not what I was getting at. He turned it into them versus ‘Dave From Skem’ thing. (Yawn) Not me. Remember that.
Let’s state a fact here. ‘Dave From Skem’, aka Vat 69, me, has supported Latics since 1986. In that time I have done around 70 League grounds. As a fan, I think I’ve just about qualified, don’t you? I don’t claim to be the best fan, as there are plenty more longer supporting than myself. But i’ve stuck with the club through the hard times. I’ll be here when they return again, as well. Got nothing to prove to anybody. But it wazzes me off no end when ‘no-marks’ (Copyright Mr P. Jewell) have the cheek to try and say I’m a JCL. Get outta town.

If you’re good enough, you’ll be accepted readily.Although I know what you mean, Migs, and agree that it is this policy that makes Mudhuts a generally more high brow site than CL, you have to concede that the quote above can leave you open to allegations of elitism.

You’re quite right of course, griff, it does.However, whereas Jimmy – as he stated in his own post – is far from elitist, I do not subscribe to such lowly opinions ;)
