Despite all the shit that flies around this board, I’d like to think that most of us consider it to be just good-natured – if at times, quite harsh – banter, not to be taken too seriously.
So, here’s to a great Christmas and a beltin’ New Year to you and your families and let’s hope that Santa brings some of you a few decent books on football so that we can all have much better-informed debates in 2014 ;)
Here’s to the play-offs!

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!23 December 2013 at 8:00 pm #125250I also would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year.
However, please spare a thought for those who are not as fortunate, and for one reason or another may not be able to celebrate this normally joyous time as they would wish.
Also take a moment out and offer a small prayer also for all the loved ones who are no longer with us to celebrate.
Peace and goodwill to all.

Aye agreed.
Just been to a funeral of a good friend this afternoon ( HORC, you’ll remember Malcolm the Man Utd fan ). Fit and healthy but just dropped dead with an embolism. Absolutely terrible day that makes you thankful for every day that you wake up and enjoy. God rest his soul. -
