The managers decide if the pitch is to be watered, not the groundsman.
Didn’t know that. If that is the case Warren needs leave it to the people who should know best.
You could see the thread bare bits were soaked at half time against Norwich and mud was flicking up when players were running.. I’m no expert but I know a wet pitch tears up easily.
If you notice at some grounds they only actually water certain parts of the pitch. We used to water the right wing for example to help the ball run for Gary Teale.
Do we water the pitch so the ball zips along the surface, or is it done so the extra water holds the ball up.
Or do we do it just for the sake of it to try to wet the substitutes?

21 February 2017 at 9:46 am #155611With the amount of manure on it Sunday it should be fine for next time.
21 February 2017 at 11:03 am #155612As long as The pitch is not rested in summer it will never be fine!
21 February 2017 at 11:15 am #155613If that’s the case, why were two friendlies against Man Utd and Liverpool played on it in two days?
21 February 2017 at 12:10 pm #155614It always looks in good shape when the goons play. Its then cut short and rips up once latics get on it in winter and its wet. Will never be any good cos.of wjere its built

21 February 2017 at 3:51 pm #155628No ….. no nets!!
At least an hours walk from the village nestled down in the valley. This was the closest ‘flat’ piece of land to the village Nuisance if someone did a Ramis style penalty shot …. long way to go and get the ball.
21 February 2017 at 4:00 pm #155629No they have no nets.
It was about an hours walk from the village nestled and snuggled down in the steep sided valley. It was the closest flat piece of land to the village. It’d be a blinkin’ nuisance if some one did a Ramis style penalty kick at goal as a shot. A long way to go and retrieve the ball.
