I could have guaranteed that there would be a thread about the pitch (granted started by someone else) on here today and there was.
The comment “But I do think that in future we shouldn’t play straight after the rugby have played and the fixtures of both clubs should be worked out accordingly.” indicates that the rugby ruined the pitch and the comment “The state of the pitch did nothing for our passing game, and definitely hampered our player in their performance” indicates that that was the reason we played poorly.
Neither statement is true.

Both are true, Conroy.
If you have any contact with the players, ask them and then truthfully put their answer on here. The ball looked hard to control…I wasn’t alone in seeing this. Folk around me in ES7 said the same.
Now come on pal, you’re not trying to tell me the rugby game the day before didn’t affect the pitch? Really?
Sorry, but you’re coming across as blinkered there, mate. I know you support both, but tell it as it is. I thought players found it hard going on that pitch.

I have contact with the groundsman. I will trust his judgement of what does and doesn’t affect the pitch above yours thank you.
I will also refer you back to the comment about the 2002/2003 season. If those players can pass the ball around on that pitch then the players we have now should be able too as well considering the near perfect state it is in now.
End of thread.
