I bought one of those options the club were selling “buy the option for a guarnteed category of seat”
Thinking the best (red) seats would sell out first as we wouldnt be given many in that price category, I bought the option for a red seat. I phoned the club up today as i realised there is just one block of about 1000 seats and they will go quick. “you wont get one. in fact, there probably wont be any red category seats on sale come sunday as the corporates are buying them”
so, none of you have to worry about forking out £115 for a ticket
£115 to watch a game of football is exorbitant to say the least ! I find it quite ironic that the seats are red ! Marx will be turning in his grave !
Me and 3 others have gone down this route too.
Spoke to the club this morning and was told Blue 502 is pretty much sold out too.
Have to say, I though the view from the upper tier was a bit rubbish and with no view of the team lifting the cup if we won it actually – will be going for lower tier in the corner this time round.
i take it back. just emailed by head of the ticket office and they said as i bought the option of a ticket, i can get it before the season ticket lot get theirs so i wont slag them off after all. he sounds quite a decent bloke even though he must be having a nightmare of a weekend coming up.
Me and me mates got emails from him last night and we thought it might be a scam, but we did some research and it all checked out. Spoke to him twice this morning and ordered all 6 of our tickets in one go over the phone. Was able to specify the block and he even said he’d try to group the 6 tickets in 2 adjacent rows of 3.
He was extremely friendly and helpful, despite clearly having the first of many very busy days ahead.
