Well done Gary. After last weeks hammering at Bury you have to give it to him he re grouped the lads midweek and changed things around today for a comfortable win. Defence looked better with Pearce but Jacobs M.O.T.M. We sat back in the second half but Rochdale gave it a go and played football too.Latics fans superb throughout.
Support was great today, turned up in big numbers and were treated to some good football with speedy tempo, very impressed.
The team really are beginning to gel, we’ve now got the best points tally in league 1 over the last five games , keep it up Gary and you just might make the 100 points!!Agree with Jacobs MOM, thought he was a bit indifferent first half, but excellent in the second half.
I’ll annoy some with this but it gets on my wick how teams pass the ball at times straight through our midfield, i thought we controlled the game and it made Rochdale look poor i can’t wait for us to play Burton in my mind if we finish above them were up . Daniels at the back has his bad moments but what a ball he did for the second goal. Defo room for improvement and when you think its a completely new team the only way is up.

Newly promoted , good manager , good ethos if we didn’t have Caldwell Hasselbaink is the man beside that i’ve put me mortgage on them for promotion .

What’s the point of passing through the middle, if the opposition snuff out your attack before you reach the box. I’ve said it in another thread, no negatives today, job well and truly done!
