Last game before kick off and will this be the line up for MK? or just another experimental side.
We have the traditional one striker.
Two central defenders and seven midfielder’s playing a variety of roles. That’s Flores at right back and N. Byrne at left back. Must be experimental surely, but why a week before the season.
It’s getting beyond my understanding these days this football mullarky.29 July 2017 at 8:35 pm #160772Last game before kick off and will this be the line up for MK? or just another experimental side.

29 July 2017 at 9:22 pm #160775Donny, its not a Latics thing, football has adopted this way of playing. like yourself give me flying wingers twin strikers and full backs. Unfortunately todays managers don’t agree with the football we played back in the day. Even Leicester winning the Prem with a more orthodox style has done nothing to suggest that the game will deflect from the lone striker phenomenon. We have to adapt better than we have and learn how to play the system. Give me 4-4-2 any day but I have to accept that we are not going to go back to it in the near future. I cant blame WAFC for the way the game has changed.
29 July 2017 at 10:49 pm #160779Good to hear Will Grigg an Nick Powell getting a run out today.
Hopefully with Massey Powell Perkins Gilbey and Morsy in midfield and Will upfront we should do ok.
With James and Burke at left and right back that will give us Lang Flores Colclough and Jacobs on the bench.
Actually looking at it that way we should piss the league. That’s down to Cooky now.29 July 2017 at 11:19 pm #160780Good to hear Will Grigg an Nick Powell getting a run out today.

30 July 2017 at 12:59 am #160789Thing is though Butler the chances of Cook starting with the line up quoted is so remote so you may be bringing this up at 2-00 when the team is announced.

BTW, that Coulthirst mon we had on loan from Spurs has made it it big….. signed on a free by Barnet from Peterboro.
