That is their goal difference brought back in to the fray.
Away at West Ham and QPR, at home to Arsenal last game, oh how I hope they have their final points tally now, or at best get two draws to finish on 39.FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
28 April 2013 at 2:03 pm #111170I think they’ll be on 40 at the end of the season. 3 wins will do it.

Where will they get the wins from?
Sat 04 A West Ham Utd
Sun 12 A QPR
Sun 19 H ArsenalThey’ll have to pick up points at WHU and QPR because it will be difficult to beat Arsenal.

No, 3 wins will keep us up under the assumption Newcastle end the season on 40 points.

I don’t see Newcastle getting more than a point (prob QPR away).
Bye bye Pardew
28 April 2013 at 6:28 pm #111196Still 5 whole points ahead of us though – I know which position I’d rather be in at this stage of the season.
28 April 2013 at 7:10 pm #111207Wigan must aim to match Villa and beat them in final game.
If Newcastle – or Sunderland or Norwich – join the dog-fight, all the better.
Aston Villa face Sunderland on Monday. If Sunderland win, they should be safe. If Villa win, it’s going to be tougher for Wigan.

Yes! – many, many stranger things have happened, Eggy!
Last night’s result was actually quite useful, thinking about it, dragging the others back into it.
Still leaves us with a few things needing to go our way, but your scenario above isn’t a huge stretch. What is certain, is that now is the time for us to start delivering results.
How Roberto deals with the Figueroa loss is a huge aspect of the remaining games

I think he’ll go with a back 4 of Boyce Caldwell Scharner Beausejour unless Alcaraz is fit (I pray he is).
30 April 2013 at 6:32 pm #111602All preoccupied with predicting other teams results when the reality is we can’t win our games at the moment.Bet everyone saw Sunderland beating Everton and Newcastle or Villa stuffing Stoke and Sunderland. Two weeks ago it was Stoke who were heading for the drop but back to back wins and they pull away.In the meantime we have harvested 2 pts out of last 12 and along with the 2 below us can’t buy a win.We just have to go out and try to win our games and instead of waiting for it to happen MAKE it happen. If we do that then we give ourselves a chance as I think there will be a twist or two yet.
