A bit early to be making predictions considering transfer market hasn’t got up and going yet. On what basis do you think QPR and Swansea will struggle? Both are active already with transfers and are linked with some decent players. They may have struggled towards the end of last season but with QPR’s finance and Swansea’a new manager I wouldn’t write them off.

Your top 4 looks sound but I would have a bottom 3 of
stoke

norwich12 July 2012 at 10:50 pm #90219I’ve got a sneaky feeling that there will be 2 sort of “semi surprise” teams who will be fighting off relegation this season. The first is Stoke, who have done quite well since getting promoted a few years ago. They just stink of “crap team” but seem to grind out wins when looking second best in loads of games. I think next season is a season too far for Pullis’s men, the long ball tactics have outstayed its welcome.
Another team in my relegation 3 is Fulham. Again they do quite well at home, but have relied heavily on who in my opinion, has been the most under-rated player in the premier over the last 5 or 6 seasons. If Clint Dempsey moves on, they have already lost Johnson and the influential Danny Murphy, then they will find it tough. Its not sour grapes, but I honestly don’t think Rodellega is the player he thinks he is.
Is he a decent player…yes, is he good enough to fill the gap left by Dempsey….No!The third team to fight out and lose the relegation battle IMO will be one from Southampton, Norwich or Reading. goodpost
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!13 July 2012 at 1:06 am #90221Liverpool, bottom three !
Worth a punt ?13 July 2012 at 2:11 am #90222I think one of the bigger teams might get dragged into it good and proper this season, my money is on Villa or Sunderland.
13 July 2012 at 12:31 pm #90226I feel qpr will oversign and implode happened many times.. fell swansea will be found out and suffer sss. And reading the weakest promoted im my eyes had a good run of form last season but looked very average before that…. think we depend alot on moses going or staying just dont fell we can replace him

Bigger names from bigger clubs have moved on and left, what some fans have thought to be, un-fillable holes in the team. We have retained a great squad of playing staff who showed courage, determination and spectacular skill during those last dozen games and it is that work ethic and camaraderie that will take us to the next level – losing Moses (if we do) should not really effect that. I am confident that the person Roberto and his team bring in will quickly step up to the plate and Moses will be quickly relegated to that ‘picture on the Wigan Wall of Fame’.
Only glad the Olympics are here to fill in the time before the season starts………..can’t wait.

I think Moses is extremely replaceable.
For every good thing he did during a game there were half a dozen not-so-good things, such as not dropping back and helping out in midfield, trying to take on a man too many, shooting when a pass would have would have open up a clear chance, and so on….
Yes he is exciting to watch, but the end product is, more often than not, a complete anti-climax.
Quite possibly like the Olympics.
