A week or two ago we were struggling for a right sided defender or whatever Caldwell choses to call them but Gary wouldn’t play our own Burke. Today with a stroke of genius our new right sided defender Byrne is not in the squad for whatever reason and our own Burke makes the squad despite having the new Burke available. But rather than play the young West Ham Burke on the right our Gary plays him as a central defender.
Ironically the man we were linked with gets the equaliser and the second of the Wednesday strikers (yes two strikers (it doesn’t for some) scored the winner. Our main man who can rip defences apart and draw two players is dropped again for an Everton loanee and still no sign of Perkins. Is it any wonder we got beat!!!10 September 2016 at 9:56 pm #150625A week or two ago we were struggling for a right sided defender or whatever Caldwell choses to call them but Gary wouldn’t play our own Burke. West Hams Burke is a central defender anyway and came in to cover for the injured Morgan.
Byrne is a midfield/winger so there was no room for him anyway with Power and probably Jacobs operating on the right side,
Wildshutt has been off colour so far this season so a spell on the bench and bringing him on as an impact player wasn’t a bad idea, but it didn’t work.
Perkins is injured
He will find his favoured line up eventually, but going 442 today as you want him to do backfired.
Anyway, we have another easy game in midweek to fuck about with the team in readiness for the season to start in earnest against the thrilling Fulham next week,
When are you making your debut this season??10 September 2016 at 10:28 pm #1506264-4-2 no. You need two strikers on to play that. We had one. Caravan season finishes at end of October. Like many will not be attending the Wolves game at £27.(

11 September 2016 at 12:59 am #150634Byrne is a wing back or winger. West Hams Burke is a defender yes but inexperienced at Championship level. Your right though Horc it will be changes again on Tuesday. This shambles of a start to season won’t start against Fulham it will be knocking on Christmas before this chaotic mess sorts itself out. This lot should have been sorted before August.
Well done Ryan Colclough on scoring today and another well done to Sam Morsy on making an appearance for a well organised set up and early promotion challengers Barnsley. -
