Well thankfully nobody has droned on about how good we were against Villa because since then we were poor against Wolves, held our own against a very poor Utd for an hour before totally collapsing and by all accounts didn’t deserve anything out of today’s game but hey we are only 4 games in ! No need to panic eh ! I heard we had a 5 on 2 situation late on today and failed to make anything of it. Now I am not being funny but if we cant score in that situation when can we ! If we dont get anything against Wet Spam we are in serious trouble with Arsenal and Chelsea following short on the heels of that ! But hey it will only be 7 games in and we will have played 3 of the “Big 4”. Villa have picked themselves up from the opening day and forgotten about what was probably a lac lustre display for them, while we have gone the other way, but hey no need to panic we are only 4 games in eh !
compare the results to last season. We drew at villa, got battered at Everton and lost to Man Utd. Granted we should have beaten wolves at home being a promoted team, but following the results of last season we would of had 4 points, one more point than now.
Yes i am abit worried but to put it in perspective its not all doom and gloom, we could be Pompey with no points, or even bolton.
You sound like you didnt see the game, we gave a decent show of ourselves, a draw would have been a fairer result, and we had a chance just before the end before they scored.I was trying to say that if we dont beat Wet Spam then we are gonna be right down there and its a dog fight scenario ! The crux of my thread is we need to forget about the Villa game and move on as we have some “Tasty” fixtures coming up !
