Due to finish work at 3pm today but got it sanctioned to finish at 2.30. Arrived at my parents house at 2.52. Ran from poolstock, through duggy, over road & down canal. Got to ground at 3.05 which i was pleased with. Popped season ticket in, making my way up concourse steps & ended behind a woman (who was as slow as that woman in the mr bean hotel staircase sketch). Thought it was rude to barge past her. Next second i hears “Yeeeeesssssssss” Gets my coffee. Only been sat down a minute then we make it 2.
Good result today & other results gone in our favour. Fantastic day. Lets keep this up. Come on the tics!!to say 3-0 flattered Bury would be the biggest understatement ever , should have been seven at least.
They were totally outclassed by a team that looks nailed on for automatic promotion.
Jussie the man of the match for those incredible saves shortly before half time but nothing or nobody to complain about this afternoon.
Four points clear of 3 rd spot and on the heels of boring Burton with them still to play.
Can anyone stop us ?Is it over. Fell asleep after five minutes of the second half and just woke up. Bloody freezing.
Only joking but bloody hell that second half was boring but better we play the slow passy boring shit at 3 nil up rather than start that way. Not too worried though as points are what matter now. We have a big game on Tuesday and need full concentration for that. We were 3-0 up against a team who didn’t pose a threat (except if you look at the possibility we may not have had the penalty and Juusi didn’t make those saves then it would have been 2-2!), so no point in busting a gut or getting injuries or needless cards (excepting the last minute – even then we were sensible while Bury were to be honest being stupid in risking suspensions during a game that was lost).
It was a great game, Gary and whoever got the tactics and game plan spot on. No need to get bookings, injuries, tired, sendings off and all the rest … when you don’t need to. Big games to come. And almost for once I didn’t have to move to the edge of my seat and I have all my finger nails in tact.
Even the half time shooot was fun and a laugh, so was the beer. All in all a great afternoon, time well spent.
