Nearly didn’t didn’t bother yesterday with my 320 mile round trip.
So, so, so glad we did!Train up was full of Chelsea fans and just the two of us Wigan fans. Good banter, mainly me asking them not score too many and go easy on us on the train home.
19:12 Wigan to Euston and the train was full of Chelsea lads (who had clearly had a good day despite the score). Every single one of them said we were really good and fully deserved our win. They didn’t say they were bad, didn’t blame Dowd, just kept banging on about how good we were! Raving about Martinez, Whelan and Diame.
My 11 year old spent the whole journey walking up and down the carriages to/from the buffet, just to show off his colours.
Got home and watched the whole match on Sky Plus, then MOTD and then again this morning (with a slight headache).
Can’t wait for work, at least three Chelsea fans in our office.
Happy days!

27 September 2009 at 9:58 pm #9850Just been on their forum.
They’re actually debating the penalty decision and talking about appealing against Cech’s red card!!!
27 September 2009 at 11:16 pm #9862Cech will get further punishment, if anything.
Delayed his exit from the field, and that’s usually punished.

28 September 2009 at 12:36 am #9873Really enjoyed it yesterday, because a victory against one of the top four as been along time in coming it made the result so much sweeter. Great team display yesterday couldn’t fault anyone, the only downer for me is the mother of all hangovers I’ve had today!
Never drinking again!
