What a sad life you must lead i suggest you get out more my self,it’s a big world out there ,go for a walk breath some fresh air and relax my freind31 January 2010 at 2:24 pm #20674Of course we all know that Scotland hasnt worked out for Wigan, yes he cost us the game yesterday. His hold up play was good and set up some chances elsewhere, so maybe that is why he is in the team. Martinez has little options at the moment.
You cant blame Martinez for the poor form of Scotland, he has had his oppotunities. When we signed him he had a good scoring record and was worth a risk at £2m or whatever we payed for him.
Being negetive wont help him score. !
31 January 2010 at 3:33 pm #20686Scotland is far better than Agadoo. At least Scotland gets in the position to score goals which Agadoo never did (well except that sitter against Liverpool).
31 January 2010 at 3:53 pm #20688Rodallega vs Scotland
Both missed 2 sitters yesterday, Scotland held the ball up well and had a few decent runs, Hugo gave the ball away constantly and never looked in the game, Hugo wasted 2 free-kicks after having a 2nd bite of the cherry SO, why does everybody get on Scotland’s back? Does the sun shine out of Hugo’s arse because he was sh*t on wednesday night at Blackburn, missed a pen and 2 sitters at Wolves and looked awful yesterday against Everton.
I am not defending Scotland, he’s been dissapointing and should have scored yesterday but I think it’s unfair that his strike partner is just as bad as him (or has been recently) yet nothing much is said.
31 January 2010 at 4:13 pm #20689so can someone please explain, why he is in the team.Who would you play instead of Scotland then?
31 January 2010 at 4:35 pm #20693hugo,put out on the wing again!,martinez has a lot to answer 4 in playing scotland 4 over half a season now without a goal, all we here post match frm martinez on scotland is that he keeps getting in the right positions to score, give me a break, news of the world report this morning, descibes our striker as “robbing” a living,.a true and honest report on him me thinks.

Fair play o.k hugo lost abit of form .but he.s making the goal keeper do his job.face it them 2 chances scotland had yesterday was dire.there again we have no more fowards.not like other teams.its not just now its been all season our leader is doing his best to bring players in.he.s even been seen at laithwaite park and howebridge
31 January 2010 at 5:16 pm #20697That article wants pinning to Jason Scotland’s shirt peg tomorrow morning at training. I’ve not a problem with any of our fans slating him on here for his finishing ability as he deserves more grief than he has probably had but we have to draw the line somewhere when the national press are having a pop at our players. Time to bite your lip if/when he misses another chance even if it’s the hardest thing to do and get behind him.

when you get an answer if its not what you want to hear you call us “superfans” and “luvees”
I’ll say this just the once then please STFU!!.
The ball played through for Hugo to run clear on goal, was just one of things he brought to the party yestersday. The fact is, that if hugo had scored we would have probably gone on to win the game. The fact that he didn’t and we lost was not all down to JS.
Now FO please. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!31 January 2010 at 6:52 pm #20711He brought some fantastic misses. Not as good as the miss from inside the 6 yard box, but some great one on ones messed up.
Hopefully he will be shipped out, useless waste of space.31 January 2010 at 6:59 pm #20712Give it a rest, ffs!
Just goes to show which of our fans actually HAVE a clue, and understand football. Anybody being influenced in their opinion by the press need to have a look at themselves. This is the same press that is this morning suggesting that John Terry should not be going to the World Cup, due to his adultery. Sensationalist bas*ards. If he captains England to a World Cup win, they’ll talk about him in the same light as Bobby Moore. The press are scumbags. None of them have got the best interests of football in mind. For them to criticize Scotland after yesterday is simply lazy, lazy, journalism. Did they actually SEE the game? Or did they just watch highlights?
Because if they did, they would have seen a Latics side that was on top…
…until Scotland was taken off. Our changes, for whatever reason, suddenly gave Everton extra impetous, they upped their game, and nicked a goal. The fact of the matter is, we were a better side with Scotland ON the pitch, than without him. “But he doesn’t score”, I hear you cry. Neither did Heskey, and we were the same with him.
Rodallega can NOT play the loan striker role. He is too lightweight.31 January 2010 at 7:48 pm #20716If you’re comparing Scotland to Heskey, your knowledge of football leaves a lot to be desired.
Even with Heskey, he had someone at the side of him.
Scotland’s crap and our formation is as bad. -
