I am one of the 1500 who did, obviously you are one of the 15,000 who didn’t.
Left on coach at 9.45 after a couple of drinks first and due to the coach having a bog, we went straight to Nottingham and were there for 12.10.
Watched the PNE v Chelsea game there and in this place called Hooters, we had plenty to admire. Very different than the bar maids in Wigan, could have stayed there all day. lol
Any how, we made six changes to the team and the most important name missing from the starting 11 was being chanted during and after the half time break, ‘We Want NZogbia.’
The substitution changed the game and to come back from two goals down, no matter who you’re playing, shows the spirit and commitment of the team.
Man Utd, Liverpool, Burnley, Sunderland and Wolves couldn’t manage it, Wigan Athletic could.
Now lets see what the score is playing our first team.I’m not being funny here, but how do the doom and gloomers expect to be taken seriously when they are sitting at home in front of their computers every time the opposition scores a goal?
Football is all about surprises and Notts County battled bloody well yesterday and deserved to go 2-0 up. They gave us a bloody nose and we fought back and are still in the cup. That’s entertainment, excitement. It was great to be there and see our second half showing.
My view is great comeback boys, another match to see a week on Tuesday (wall to wall footie over the next month) with plenty of drama and well done Notts County for raising your game.
But no I’m obviously wrong. When we were losing 3-0 to Port Vale in our first season in the Football League and we came back to win 5-3 I should have stopped dancing and been thinking “What a crap defence we’ve got.”

Ok, I live a 400 mile round trip from wigan. So i didnt go to Nottingham. I rarely do go to away games and had to content myself with watching it on some South African Streaming channel.
But good for you for going. Im still allowed to say the first 60 minutes were crap
I have no problem with supporters not going to the game. They can do as they please.
One thing i would never do, is sit at my computer while the game is on posting uttershite. Can you not see that you are making yourself look like a complete t**t?

no, i accept that i was wrong to post my impression of what was going on during the game. I should have waited until after and said something positive because it was innacurate to say anything negative at all about the first 55 minutes.
I also apologise for being in a different country and unable to go to the game and not being able to listen to Radio Manchester of Radio Nottingham and having to make do with watching it online

So you dont discuss the game at half time when you go then do you not ! If we are playing awful and getting beat 2-0 at half time you keep it to yourself then do you ! Have a wander round the concourse on Saturday and see what the most popular topic is !! Like I said this is a forum after all and if you cant make the match anytime then I would like to think you can have the same sort of conversation as you would if you had gone !
