He watched the match, today.

– Er, Edman is older than Figueroa. About 31/32 isn’t he? And ok Mr Whelan, so we are weak down the left side. So Roberto can have some money to spend in January, can he? And I take it Figueroa will be going nowhere?
And an absolute pearler:
“We’ve got Birmingham next week, so hopefully we can put it right”.
-Think you’ll find it’s actually Sunderland, Mr Whelan. Will you be back for the visit of your former employee, or are you hiding out of the way, to avoid any meeting or confrontation? He left our club because he knew he had his hands tied. We all know that.
For Pete’s sake, we have a chairman who is sat on a sunlounger thousands of miles away, supping Strawberry Daquiri’s, and socializing with Cliff Richard and Cilla Black (they have homes there, too) AND he doesn’t even know who we are playing next! YET he see’s fit to comment on a game that happened thousands of miles away?
