i also got sacked at the tender age of 15 when working at his supermarket!
having grafted short handed all day filling the bread shelves and baling all the cardboard boxes i had to go and empty the bins from the cafe. When i got back there was a huge pile of cardbaord to bale and it got bigger as the bread shelves had also emptied.
One of his shop managers came in and instead of saying “well done today, but can you stay until all the cardboard has been cleared” he said “you’re not going home until you have finished that!” He was standing by the clock when i clocked out for the last time at 5:30!
still working with rubbish though!2 March 2011 at 1:17 pm #60990We are bottom of the league and our leader goes to barbados every couple of months. If he wants to be a pensioner enjoying holidays he should fuck off and give the club to someone who gives a shit. Not to worry though, he will be gone come august. Thank god

If he wants to be a pensioner enjoying holidays he should bad language off and give the club to someone who gives a bad language Not to worry though, he will be gone come august. Thank godYes, cos he is the only one who works for WAFC, isn’t he? When he goes to Barbados, he locks the stadium door, puts the alarm on and the whole thing grinds to a halt while he’s away.
Oh, and obviously he hasn’t got roaming on his phone so no-one can even contact him while he’s over there.
Christ, there are some naive idiots knocking about. :angry-banghead:
2 March 2011 at 1:49 pm #60997Could be worse. We could have Venky’s in charge of us.
Running battery farms and sweat-shops in India, slaughtering chickens for the curry industry.

Thank godWhelan has publically stated that he’d be happy to ‘give’ the club to someone for the right money. Do you know anyone with a few hundred millions who’d like a bash at it?

Of what, i wouldn’t swap my life for anybody’s, Let alone a stubborn, self centred tight old rich idiot. Im quite happy watching from my computer and not giving the old sod my money, for which he gives nothing in return, Im not daft you see, I look after my money and it looks after me. Im not wed to this joke of a club, i don’t work all week to give a third of it away. My family and other half comes before a bunch of over paid no hopers.

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!2 March 2011 at 11:58 pm #61048What we need is investment from foreigners
3 March 2011 at 12:17 am #61049I would not like to work for DW or do business with him but without him we would have been fcked years ago. Not relegated to the Championship with a newish stadium with crowds increased tenfold, but at best a Lancashire version of Bradford PA bottom feeding in the lower regional leagues of English football.
If I was 74 and had money then I too, would be in Barbados enjoying my golden years with the money I worked hard for.

I’d say that was worth £15 a week.
