Is it just me or did Whelan look a disappointed man in this interview. He did not sound upbeat about his appointment nor did his body language look positive. I got the distinct impression that he wanted Mclaren to be manager, but he wasn’t willing to work with a one year contract or Whelan had offered him £2 million pounds for his transfer kitty.
