Signings. We are in serious need of a winger, that would be my main aim b4 the window shuts, who, i don’t know? Centre back with a bit of pace, another striker maybe and a bit of cover for certain positions would be nice. See what happens, leave that up to the scouts, Martinez etc.
Aswell as a few bad signings he has made in the past few seasons, he has brought some young talent to this club, also bringing players through which im sure we will see in the near future :D
I think we have some REALLY good centre midfielders at the mo, plenty of competition 4 places. Watson is looking better than ever, passing well and ALWAYS wanting the ball. Set pieces BIG part of the game, hopefully he can keep on beating that 1st man!
McCarthy, i dont need to say much, class act. Signed a 5year deal, fantastic. He’s still developing, got lots to learn and will only get better. What a player.
Diame can be a bit up and down at times, but another young gun with high potential. McCarthur, Jones, Thomas in backup is not that bad.
So i think all is well in that area. Let’s just hope we bag a pacey winger 2 fill that gap. Moses on the other side, Hugo up front we could frighten defences!!!
I would like Martinez to be true to his word at the very start of the transfer window and bring in a couple of “big loan signings” At least to prove that we CAN attract a big name. I would love to see SWP at the club but it seemed to all get suddenly very quiet after Whelan said it all depended how much the lad wanted?! The only hope is that he wants to stay around Manchester and the Bolton attempt falls through. Is Rodallega the sort of striker who worries defences?? I’m still not sure if he’s got enough goals in him but I guess everyone will say he needs better service. Anyway SWP and another striker – perhaps this bloke from Bristol would fit the bill. He’s got to be half decent for the money being talked about??
Zoony you maybe right in some sort of way? Hugo is a quality player, BUT in a 4 4 2. I dont think he will NEVER be at his best for us because he is DEFINATLY not a winger or a striker who plays up front on his own with his back 2 goal trying to hold the ball up, so??????
SWP i just don’t know? Tricky 1, getting on a bit, high wage demand. Still, think he has got a couple of good seasons in him with pace 2 burn and goals 2 score, wouldn’t mind him. Sign him and it might make other players seem attracted 2 come and join the paaaaaaarty!
Nicky Maynard, would be a no no 4 me at this stage. + personally i think the premier league is 2 big a step up 4 him. There r better strikers in the championship if thats the route were thinking?
