Once Figueroa goes to Villa. Stephen Warnock has been cleared to go to Liverpool on loan, so it looks like a silly bid could be coming for Figs.
Although he has his faults, he is certainly the best we have at the moment and we’d be hard pressed to replace him. Wonder if Baines fancies coming home?

Funnily enough he is also our best winger, midfielder and if only 5 or 6 inches taller, probably centre half and goalie. :o 8-)
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!15 January 2011 at 3:55 pm #55547If a large offer comes in for him I would take it as long as we already sign a replacement

Yep, good point, and only half joking, I assume?
Know what you mean. Without him, if he goes, we will be so ordinary.

Best ever right back, forget Chimbonda, Melchiot, Boycey et al. Look no further than dangerous Dave Fretwell.

19 January 2011 at 10:31 pm #56041I,ll throw Dave Glenn into the mix, cause he was left back when i started watching latics and his wife is now my boss.
19 January 2011 at 10:56 pm #56045This thread has gone a little bit awry as the original question meant now and not then !!
My answer is we dont have any decent left backs and as DW isn’t going to splash any cash we will have to make do with what we have !! Cant see Villa splashing anymore cash now they have broke the bank for Bent ! -
