23 June 2010 at 2:14 am #38244How do you think Rooney and co would have managed in that Wigan v Saints game?
They would probably have wondered how the biggest game in the sooper dooper league  only got 20,000 on! But i suppose it,s a lot better than the last rl international!

As I’ve stated on here before I enjoy watching Latics and Warriors.
I was a little disappointed by the crowd on Sunday ,but not as disappointed as I was when Man Utd (arguably the biggest name in football) only attracted 18,164 :roll:23 June 2010 at 12:12 pm #38251But your the biggest rugby club in the world and we are little old wigan!
23 June 2010 at 12:31 pm #38253How do you think Rooney and co would have managed in that Wigan v Saints game? What an absolute pearl of a question that is!
I think Rooney would have coped as well as Sam Tompkins would have done playing for the England football team.
23 June 2010 at 1:54 pm #38254But back to the discussion did you think there was passion, commitment and excitement in the game that you hasn’t been displayed in the Football World Cup.You are conveniently ignoring my assertion that this was supposedly the self-styled biggest game in world rugby league – you know, the one that used to always be on a Good Friday or Boxing Day but now slots in when it can because the sport can’t support itself sufficiently to stick to its most basic of traditions – and so I would expect it to be fairly passionate.
Perhaps there was more passion than in an England/Algeria round robin world cup football game, for example, perhaps not. I’d suggest an England/Argentina or England/Germany football match might just compete with it though.
And maybe we should compare apples with apples and stick to club football in which case I’ll give you LiverpoolEverton, the Manchester derby, even Blackburn/Burnley as more passionate matches than that game on Sunday.
I like RL mate, but if you’re the best the rugby lot can put up to defend themselves you’re in serious trouble. Scholes Control would have you as an hors d’oeuvre, as they say in Perpignan
23 June 2010 at 2:05 pm #38255Scholes Control would have you as an hors d’oeuvre, as they say in PerpignanAnd I’m sure ‘Horc d’oeuvre’ would also devour him, metaphorically speaking.

Scholes Control would have you as an hors d’oeuvre, as they say in PerpignanThat is one of the funniest things I have ever read on the internet.Scholes Control argues like a maggot hiding under a stone. His views are about as much use as Horc’s verbal $hit. Both of them are JCL’s who will drop latics quicker than a beech hill girl drops her knickers.

I’ll keep this brief
If insults are all you have to offer you have lost. You’ve lost it big time and everyone on here can see it.
Insults are the last resort actions of a chancer who has failed miserably to put any conviction behind his words, mainly because we are all as humans incapable of being something we are not for a prolonged period of time.
At least your pal from the rugby board Rogues Gallery can debate like an adult, this was a response more suited to the schoolyard

Then 4 paragraphs.Ha ha .23 June 2010 at 9:57 pm #38272Anonymous
I’ll repeat Scholes Control is a maggot
23 June 2010 at 10:08 pm #38273I’ll repeat Scholes Control is a maggot :lol:As soon as you resorted to insults you lost. The fact you are repeating those insults is only digging a deeper hole for yourself. You are simply making yourself looking more foolish and impotent by the second. Incidentally, I don’t mind being call a maggot as a maggot is used to catch fish. And looks like I caught a real whopper here

Did you watch the game?
What when the footys on
So how can you comment on something you didn’t see, or were you glued to the tv and can’t admit it?The Football World Cup has been over hyped rubbish. The pundits and press have hammered it.
The Wigan v Saints game was superb entertainment. My Saints supporting son in law was a guest in one of the hospitality suites. With him was someone who had never been to a RL game before, he was amazed at passion, skill and commitment of the players.
“So how can you comment on something you didnt see ”
Your right I didn’t see along with 99% of the Britush public
23 June 2010 at 11:12 pm #38279That is one of the funniest things I have ever read on the internet. Then you have led a very sheltered life, son. Quite apt, for someone who supports a “world” game with a catchment area of about 100 miles

Yes, and they only had 12,000 turn up without even clashing with a South Africa football game – this isn’t a question of clashing with Serbia vs. Australia and the like, but an England game would have a huge effect on the crowd; let’s face it, an average of one in three people in the entire country have watched the games so far (and that’s including Scotland, Wales and NI in that total!).
  :D
