Let him gush just let him gushHmm, you’re right actually it would be satisfying to see him blow all his finances on a team like Nob End. Investing in them is like giving your life savings to a tramp and then watching him burn all the notes to keep himself warm.
3 July 2010 at 4:14 am #38972”He did a good Cuckoo job on Orrell rufc.I can see a “Famous” rl club upping stumps and moving into the heartlands of the majority of their supporters”Will gladly help em to move…..not taking trophy cabinet though, don’t want dust all over the back of my car ;)
Good Un
3 July 2010 at 5:42 pm #38990Pelican and thirtytwo, you don’t really think he’ll actually be spending any money on PNE do you? Surely when he leaves them, it’ll be with more money in his pocket than he’s actually wasted on them.

Surely when he leaves them, it’ll be with more money in his pocket than he’s actually wasted on them.He won’t spend anything. Trevor Hemmings can buy Lindsay 100 times over. I don’t think Lindsay’s been brought in to PNE for his money.

Hemmings is richer than DW and was after buying the chubbies at one time then realised he’d make fo ok all out of them and decided against it

Hemmings, Whelan and Lindsay have been good mates for donkeys.
3 July 2010 at 9:00 pm #39004I remember Maurice from my Thornleigh days, and he WAS a Bolton fan.
He was a good boxer too.
And for truelatics benefit, he wasn’t/isn’t gay.
Try asking him!3 July 2010 at 9:02 pm #39005And for truelatics benefit, he wasn’t/isn’t gay.
Try asking him!To be fair, he does sound it though, doesn’t he? :D
3 July 2010 at 9:06 pm #39006So does Mike Tyson.
Try asking HIM!
3 July 2010 at 10:44 pm #39017So does Mike Tyson.Try asking HIM!
To be fair, there’s a difference between having a slightly effeminate voice like Tyson and talking like a raving hommer (sp?) a la Maurice.
Plus, if you ask Tyson that he’s liable to bite your head off! Or at least an ear :?
4 July 2010 at 12:24 am #39022But the way someone speaks is not proof positive of their sexual orientation.
Freddie Mills(the boxer)was every inch a man’s man.Then he was “outed”.
Rugby players of both codes are coming out of the closet with increasing regularity amid cries of “who’d a thowt it”?
You might be forgiven for assuming Lionel Blair was a “hommer”, but look at his wife and family and you may have second thoughts.Perhaps the definative authority on this subject would be the woman Maurice has lived with for upwards of the last 40 years.
What I’m trying to say, albeit in a longwinded way, is, don’t judge a book by it’s cover.

Larry Grayson has a prime example
4 July 2010 at 1:14 am #39026Larry Grayson was a prime example.
There are many prime examples of openly gay men, from politicians, actors, entertainers, to ordinary men in the street.
M.L. has been subjected to sustained tirades of homophobic abuse on this board for no other reason than that some people don’t like the way he talks.
By the way, I am not gay, I just like to see fairation.4 July 2010 at 1:16 am #39027Anonymous
Freddie Mercury
