… gave a masterclass in how to play the lone striker role.
Some will say he had a quiet game, not me, he touched every blade of grass 5 or 6 times, the lad oozes class.
With the right service and support from midfield, he will cause havoc. The amount of times he did his job, without having to touch the ball was amazing and the purists amongst us will also have seen that. :cheer:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!19 December 2015 at 11:30 pm #146288Grigg will get us goals if he’s given the service. He fed on scraps against Barnsley but put the two chances he got away very comfortably.
20 December 2015 at 12:40 am #146289Thought he had a smashing game today, worked really hard…something I’m not sure he’s always done. As has been said, fed on scraps, put an a cracking ball in the box early on, could have done with him being on the end of his own pass.
Hard working performance from Will and the team today, not pretty but back on the winning horse.

20 December 2015 at 2:34 am #146297Aye. Worked a treat against Blackpool!
20 December 2015 at 3:37 am #146298Yip 4 4 2 is shite Leicester City.
Main problem against Blackpool was the midfield not the strikers.20 December 2015 at 4:28 am #146301Bigroy ….. Can you count ? We were crap against Blackpool, but so were our 2, and then 3 forwards !
20 December 2015 at 2:53 pm #146303And Will had one pass to foot in the box.
Moony we were shite yes but that was more down to the midfield and flanks. I would admit to being a bit shocked at the line up yesterday but I will give if to Gary that he isn’t scared of change and yes swapping around did bring us two points but who knows if Wildshutt and Davies had have played we would have still won or not. Watch for the changes on Boxing Day again.20 December 2015 at 3:54 pm #146304The point Ste was with reference to the insinuation from Bigroy that we played a lone striker against Blackpool.
With regard to your point, yep, 4-4-2 is working really well for Leicester ….. just as it doesn’t work quite so well for some of the teams nearer the bottom.
As for making more changes, I doubt he will …….though if he were to, it would probably be to include either Davies or Wildschut in the starting line-up, with 2 up front……. but that would please you wouldn’t it ?
;)20 December 2015 at 4:23 pm #146305Winning pleases as did yesterday and reading a report our man of the match was Kellet playing a attacking midfield roll. A suggestion from Graham Barrow. All the best by the way Moony and to all in Eccy. Both Yarrow and Lostock have some cracking fish in theses days. Not sure about The Syd Brook.
