I think yes.
The performance at Spurs showed we can compete and although it can be said they had a hangover, we certainly didn’t have any belief or confidence going into the game and so they cancel each other out.
I think with the new additiond as well, a couple of wins under the belt could see us fly. My worry is if those back to back wins don’t come quick enough, is the ‘team’ able to dig in?
On a posistive I think we will get those wins, hopefully we should bag quite a few points from our next games:
Sunderland
City
Brum
Wolves
Toon
Notlob
Fulham
Rovers12-15 points out of those would be ideal, more even better.
1 September 2010 at 5:06 pm #45023I think the team are good enough to keep us up in the league and progress further up the league and maybe a 12-14th placed finish.
1 September 2010 at 6:12 pm #45029On what we’ve seen from the 4 games so far the team is capable of the mind bogglingly awful as well as the pretty good
Bearing that in mind its likely to be a very similar season to last season so I think we’ll be scraping in and around the relegation zone
However i said after the Blackpool game that both Bobby & the squad needed 10 games to show us what they were capable of this season & I stand by that. How anyone can think based on the 3 league performances that they can get up to 12th is beyond me

We usually tend to come back onto the pitch after half time on the back foot, more often than not the 50th-60th minutes are the times when the ‘bigger’ teams manage to break through and bag one or two goals, and at times in the past we’ve capitulated from there.
Hopefully over the next couple of games the defence will really gel together, in their (defence?) our centre back pairing had never played together, and they had both been to the world cup. They did well against Spurs though, and I hope that result is a way forward.
14th would be a good enough finish for me at this moment in time.
