Oh!….Mind reading depends on a process called projection. You imagine that people feel the same way you do and react to things the same way you do. Therefore, you don’t watch or listen carefully enough to notice that they are actually different.

If all these fans want him out where are they at the game? I stand in ES2 and most fans i speak to dont want him out and i havent heard one ‘Martinez out’ chant at the match. Funny that eh? Speak up at the game then cowards instead of posting negative drivel on here. If you were at Newcastle and at the game yesterday you cant say the team didnt play well. We had around 21 shots, hit the bar, the post, missed chances but at least we are making them. At times like the this the club needs to tough it out and stick together. There are 28 games left with 35 points needed. Whatever happens i hope Bobby is there at the end either to guide us back up or having pulled us out the mire again.

We are Wigan Athletic. We have punched above our weight year in year out for years. Not one of you would have backed us to stay up in this league for 7 years or more. Enjoy it. Appreciate where we are and who we are. Support the team and those who enabled us to get in this position.

Well I’ll openly state I’m one of the ‘fans’ who don’t want him in charge anymore and I go to the vast majority of the games but I choose to get behind them on match day because that’s all we can do when we are in the ground.

I don’t rate Bob as a good manager, he can’t be when he tries the same thing over and over and it doesn’t work. As a coach however there’s no doubt to me he has a lot of the qualities you want in how to improve players and his strengths lie on the training pitch trying to improve players individually. His biggest problem is knitting it all together with different sets of tactics and responding to what he sees in front of him. Our players play dot-to-dot football that is repetetive and produces the same results, the only way we can win games it seems is through ‘magic’ football but we sold him in the summer and that individual brilliance we don’t have, which is why we are bottom! So you can have all the coaching badges in the world but it doesn’t mean you are going to be successful, if anything I think Bob doesn’t have a clue how to arrest this slide, 8 defeats in a row tells me that but it doesn’t mean I’m not apreciative of the last two years there just comes a time when a bunch of employees need a different voice to motivate them and give them an extra push to better themselves in a style of play that doesn’t hold them back.

I actually thought it in parts yesterday during the first half. The chances we created for Jones, Watson, Hugo, Caldwell, Jones again and the pressure that we were putting on Fulham had me thinking ‘This is more like it’. The pressure we were applying to Newcastle the week before (a team in 4th place in the PL) again had me thinking the same.

The problem is that we can’t defend. We get caught out on the break far too often and sometimes when we need to clear our lines we don’t.

I agree with Bobby in parts that we need to keep our heads up and keep playing the way we have the last 2 weeks and eventually results will come. Hopefully in our next 2 games because if we lose them then we may well be serious serious trouble.
