Starting 11 or impact player?
I’ll start the ball rolling;-
Impact player, he has started a few games and not contributed that much. Blackpool at home for example, the right back was a Bolton loanee and kept him extremely quiet all the game. He looks more dangerous coming on when players are getting tired.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!29 December 2015 at 6:13 pm #146414Way i see it yanick is not being risked in case of injury due to him going back to boro and his future being with a new club
I honestly dont think we can afford him permanent but hey what do i know30 December 2015 at 11:53 pm #146434After Saturday we will just have to forget him and hope someone else can fill his fifteen minutes a match boots.
I should imagine Boro will loan him out again to a Championship club with a view to his fifteen minute bursts damaging a few of their promotion rivals. So a move to a Charlton/Nob End/Rotherham type club will be on the cards.
Thanks for your little bursts Yan but we have lost better players before and still moved forward.31 December 2015 at 12:15 am #146435Against Blackpool everyone of our players where rubbish and the conditions wasn’t for yanics game

Blinkin ‘ec …. try pronouncing his surname the way the dutch do!! VILTSXYT??!!

What other players do is irrelevant, he had a job to do and didn’t do it. I love the guy when he is in full flow, but over 90 mins, Perkins is a more productive player. A good chase back and tackle never gets the plaudits but contributes to a result just as much as a sprint down the wing and cross into the oppo’s box.
I would like to see him stay, I would also like him to get match fit so he can contribute going back to his own goal as well as going forward.
Still an impact player for me and can see the reason why he can’t hold a regular place in the Boro team, playing against better opposition.

It’s phonetic alphabet.
According to that you pronounce it Wild (to rhyme with filled) – skhoot (kh is like the ch in loch – so it’s a bit like skoot but gargle the k)
31 December 2015 at 2:43 am #146439An impact player? Wish we had a few more who could ‘impact’ on the game like him! How many has he created since he’s been here? You can feel the excitement of the fans when he runs at defenders. You can see defenders quake and retreat. When he’s on the pitch chances are created, the crowd sing his name. Players like Yanic are the reason we watch football not the rest of the mundane averagedom we possess in droves. Bloody gutted if he returns. Still. Big Grant will light up the DW soon so not to worry!
31 December 2015 at 11:25 am #146441Forgot to mention Jacobs, nothing went for him on Saturday. My lad’s favourite player and thinks it’s down to him changing his boots, he kept shouting for him to “get your orange boots on” modern football eh?
Got his orange boots back on and has his mojo back!(good job as we’d already got the little un them for Christmas!
I’ve also got a feeling that Wildschut somehow will manage to prove disappointing overall, despite having it all in his locker.[/quote
I’m on course with this prediction from 2 months ago, as even his greatest fans at the time are now starting threads about him only being an impact player rather than the messiah. Great potential, all in his locker but only getting 15 minutes a game, ultimately disappointing.
Quite an interesting thread to look back on actually.

31 December 2015 at 9:58 pm #146450I can see where you are coming from with the impact player bit. But seeing as we only have him till this weekend i’d have had him on from the start of every game.
