A very fair appraisal. The greatest danger at Yeovil is fatigue.
A well deserved break follows – except for our internationals.
9 November 2013 at 10:00 pm #123327A few teams above had bad day a few below good one.Granted a long haul 3 days before Yeovil game not ideal but got to see this as a 3pt banker if we are serious about pressing top 6.Surely the away goal drought must end…….musn’t it ?

Yeovil thankfully got their first home win against Forrest last weekend so let’s hope it’s a case of after The Lord Mayors show. They don’t lose by many at home so I’m expecting a close game. 0-0 :)

Not sure about this view tho: “[Yeovil] will no doubt see this as a game they can win with our away form and performances after European games.”
Whilst our performances after Euro games have been flat, we are yet to lose (and have won twice) after our Thursday night jaunts (famous last words).
Even tho Yeovil are bottom, a 0-0 draw after 7 games in 23 days and a 5000 mile round trip would suit me fine.

oh shit
10 November 2013 at 1:27 pm #123337The bookies make us odds on at 10/11 for today , hardly value for a team that haven’t scored away since the 3rd of Aug let alone win away . back us at your peril.

We’ve only played once before in Europe! And that was in Belgium, only a little further than a trip to Southampton.
Coyle – taking all the fit and eligible players – set off for Kazan on Tuesday and flew back to Bristol straight after the game. They’ve travelled 5,000 miles and have been away from home for five nights. This will be the seventh game in twenty-two days.
It’s hardly ideal preparation. Even Premier League teams with big squads are notoriously vulnerable in away games after mid week trips to the continent. It worried Sir Alex Ferguson, and he was the master of rotation.
Marc Albrighton and Danny Redmond, both ineligible for the Europa League, join the squad. Beausejour will miss the game through injury, but there’s no further news of Watson.

Boyce Shotton Barnett Perch
McCann Watson
Albrighton Powell McManaman
FortunéAnd the score at halftime is…
Nil – nil.
10 November 2013 at 9:08 pm #123352Full time. 23 shots – 3 on target – and an away goal and an away win!
We are up to tenth place, and with a game in hand.
After the international break, we start another arduous run of games – playing 13 games in 43 days.
First come three home games in a row – Brighton, Zulte-Waregem and Derby.

I think we’ve played more than one game in Europe, you may have misread what was said. Have another butchers. B)
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!11 November 2013 at 12:36 am #123357An away game in Europe can cause problems in the following game.
We played in distant Kazan this week. As I said, we’ve only played in Europe once before – in Brugge just across the Channel.
It’s very creditable to come back from Russia and achieve an away win – even at Yeovil.
11 November 2013 at 12:46 am #123358It’s very creditable to have 3 wins and a draw in 4 matches played just 3 days after a Thursday night game.
It might not be pretty or high scoring this season, but I feel we’re starting to settle and finding our own unique groove.
Keep the faith!!
11 November 2013 at 2:47 pm #123368Listened the match on the radio and I’ll be honest I was starting to wonder if we’ll ever score another goal away from home. A few efforts cleared off the line. Albrighton hitting the bar/post. Boycie and Fortune both hitting the side netting.
Hopefully that is the monkey well and truly off our backs now.
11 November 2013 at 7:35 pm #123369It was a cracking goal as well. A great turn and surge forward from Holt.Great ball into the box and a good finish from Fortune.
Happened right in front of us as well.
Loved being so close to the action for a change.
Nice little ground – the hot chocolate was really good as well !!!!!
