To say he only has one way to play demonstrates a lack of understanding of the complexity of modern day football. This is not the Sunday league stuff I used to play extremely badly!
Yes I agree he likes to overpass (and does not have the players to fulfil this desire effectively yet) but yesterday I was ‘shocked’ when I sau the team. However, this was the best performance for a long time. We played 3-4-3 which changed to 5-4-1 dependent on where the ball was. Playing Sammon also meant that the long ball was used more than normal.
I’d like to hope the good times are around the corner – the alternative is not worth thinking about!
